Motorola i365IS is certified to withstand specifications of Military Standard 810F, which is set by United States of Department of Defense. Motorola i365IS is the only rugged device that can endure these extremes tests:

SHOCK- 14 drops per handset from a height of 48 inches.

VIBRATION- Vibration frequency varying from 15-2000Hz, 1 hour per axis

DUST- 900ft /min, 6 hours at 23 deg. C, 6 hours at 60 deg. C

HIGH TEMPERATURE- Seven cycles of 60 deg. C for 2 hours

LOW TEMPERATIURE- 24 hours at -45 deg. C and 2 hours at -10 deg. C

TEMPERATURE SHOCK- Three cycles of 4 hours at -40 deg. C then 4 hour at +85 deg. C

BLOWING RAIN- Rainfall of 6in/hr with 40mph winds, 0.5 hours hours per face

SALT FOG- Exposed to 48 hours of 5% salt fog then 48 hours of drying.

HUMIDITY- Ten 24 hours cycles of 95% relatively humidity at 60 deg. C

SOLAR RADIATION- Three 24 hours cycles of stimulated sunlight

LOW PRESSURE- 15,000 ft for 1 hour

Intrinsically Safe

The Motorola i365IS handsets are rated Non-incendive and Intrinsically Safe in environments containing explosive or volatile chemicals. The i365IS is approved by Factory Mutual Approvals (FM) and Canadian Standards Association ( CSA) as Intrinsically Safe (IS) indicated in the table below.
